Completing our Damariscotta, Maine stop

It's Saturday, September 3rd and we left Damariscotta early this morning and are staying the next three nights in the Kennebunkport, Maine area

We are staying at Hemlock Campground in Arundel and are very pleased with its set up and location.  Van is thrilled to have cable so he can watch the Georgia/Boise State football game and I am thrilled to have wifi again.

Before leaving Damariscotta we went to Portland, Pemaquid Point. and some of the other surrounding towns we hadn't had a chance to see.

This is Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's home in Portland, Maine.  You would be surprised that this house is located right downtown between commercial buildings.  If you weren't looking for it, you really wouldn't see it
This is called the Victoria Mansion also located in Portland.  It is one of the largest victorian mansions made of stone in the United States.  We don't really know anything else about it.
This is the Pemaquid Lighthouse located on       Pemaquid Point.  We were pleasantly surprised by this area.  We headed out just to see the        point/lighthouse and came upon this quaint     isolated little town.
We went  back to Red's Eats in Wiscasset to get the lobster roll.  Oh boy, was it great!  As you can see by the picture it is all lobster on a piece of bread rolled around it with melted butter on the side to dip it into.  No sauces, no fillers, just pure lobster.  Each lobster roll contains more than one lobster's meat.  Van stood in line for 1 hour and 28 minutes so we could eat on a road side picnic table.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  Be safe if you go off.

Love all
